June is here! And from our insurance office perspective, that means two things: the days are getting longer, and your chances of saying “it was probably fine” right before something gets expensive are also getting longer. So, let’s talk about the holidays coming up in June—plus a few lighthearted reminders to keep your life (and your paperwork) from turning into a claim.
Flag Day is on June 14. Flags are respected, history is honored, and—according to the laws of physics—every waving attempt somehow turns into “oops, my shoulder is tired.” If you’re looking for a patriotic moment, just remember insurance generally doesn’t cover injuries caused by “enthusiastic flag-arm cardio.” Keep it festive, keep it safe, and save the dramatic flair for the fireworks, where it belongs.
National Donut Day is often celebrated in June (the exact date can vary). And yes, we support donuts in principle. They improve morale, they boost productivity, and they make people say things like, “This is the highlight of my day,” which is exactly the kind of emotional stability we like. Just try not to let donut excitement lead to a “mysterious slip-and-slide” situation—because gravity is undefeated and liability is not negotiable.
Father’s Day falls on the third Sunday in June. This is the holiday for appreciation—whether your dad is a grill wizard, a handy-person, or the one who always knows where the batteries are. If you’re buying a gift, make it thoughtful, not “dangerous and vaguely tech-related.” And if your plan is to say, “I’ll take care of it,” and then hand him an unexpected DIY project, we’d like to gently remind you that DIY is a loving concept and a repair-bill reality.
National Go Skateboarding Day is on June 21. Which is wonderful—because nothing says “community spirit” like encouraging people to attempt new skills while gravity waits patiently in the background. If you participate, please do the boring-but-smart things: wear a helmet, check your gear, and don’t try to impress anyone by skipping protective pads. Our office motto is simple: the only thing that should get scraped today is your confidence level—not your skin.
So, here’s the June insurance-office takeaway: enjoy the holidays, celebrate responsibly, and remember that a little prevention goes a long way—whether you’re honoring history, treating yourself, showing love for dad, or trying something new without turning it into a surprise trip to the ER.
Which June Holiday are you celebrating first—donuts, dads, flags, or skateboards?
